Director of Engineering/EHS/OPEX 2017- PRESENT

Focus on creating a culture and knowledge base of Lean/Six Sigma Methodology through OPEX department.  Establish and enforce training adherence and development of all associates rolls and responsibilities.   Emphasize a safety driven culture while driving green behavior and adhering to environmental regulations.  Oversee the product development of new and existing products including components, equipment capabilities and process design and validations. Facilitate production maintenance and facility maintenance personal to reduce downtime and support building upkeep. 

·       Delivering a projected savings of more than a Quarter of a Million in savings during 2107-2018 fiscal year using strategic change tools.

·       Developed a plant wide training matrix for employee development, SOP adherence and safety awareness.  The system then migrated to LMS learning platform.

·       Implementation of a Preventative Maintenance program that included SOP generation, equipment designation/frequency, maintenance skill development and sustainability thru KPI indicators.

·       Optimized all Filling/Packaging Lines increase OEE metric by 10%. Twenty Four lines averaged 82% OEE.  

·       Oversee and manage 200 plus projects, line trials engineering test scripts and process redesigns

·       Facilitated Quality Management Team in FDA audit observations/responses, Customer Audits, product failure investigation, and NCR/CAPA investigations.


Director of Operations 2015- 2017

Focus on streamlining and optimizing mfg. processes to include and involve Lean/Six Sigma Methodology.  Performing capacity analysis, establish firm planned schedules, forecast models for new line installations.  Perform situational appraisal for each business unit to identify yearly objectives and strategic planning for future growth and development of operational staff.

·       Facilitated a new Color product launch for 90 new SKU’s including development of first time run processes, hiring and training of operators from a staff of 15 to 50.  Met 85% of the launch requirements in seven months.

·       Managed 3 production departments that produced the units to achieve 22% growth in top line sales, 33% increase in color production units, launched 216 new SKU’s(2017), lowest backorder levels in 20 years history. 

·       Launched 5S Visual factory to three production departments, created s 5S implementation panel, and completed the year at 90% sustainability level.

·       Implemented Poke-Yoke, Waste Identification, SMED, Process Mastering, Standard Work, and 5S and Gemba walks.  Completed training of 100% of the operations staff to be yellow belt certified.

·       Increased compounding bulk production by 35% year over year, eliminated departmental back order to zero for six consecutive months in Liquid production, increase production output levels by 85% in filling and packaging, eliminating second shift operation by driving efficiency gains. 

·       Facilitated Quality Management Team in FDA audit observations/responses, Customer Audits, product failure investigation, and NCR/CAPA investigations.
